Amenities

In addition to accommodation, LIVErNORTH provides many items for the comfort of liver patients in the Freeman Hospital. Items such as curtains, flowers for the chapel, vases, books, magazines and PatientLine vouchers are all provided.

We provide a small amenities fund for the liver unit to use as appropriate. The Liver Unit Social Worker, the Transplant Coordinator and a member of the Group Executive administer the fund and receive additional funds from the group when necessary.

Our Book of Remembrance in the Freeman Chapel can be a source of comfort for someone who wants to remember a friend, relative or patient who has died through liver disease. The service, like everything provided by us, is absolutely free and if you would like an entry made then please email us and we will send you a form to complete. The original parchment page will be inserted in to the book and you will receive a black and white copy by post.

Any item or service which is classed as primary health care (and therefore the responsibility of the Health Authority) can not be funded by LIVErNORTH.
